Overview
The Ruqya Fundamentals Training Series (RFTS) is a two-part foundational program designed for individuals seeking authentic, practical, and profound knowledge about ruqya syar’iyyah. The program is rooted in Islamic principles and focuses on empowering attendees with theoretical and practical skills to incorporate ruqya into their personal lives or to assist their families and communities.

Each class will provide in-depth instruction, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion after successfully attending both classes.

Program Details
Duration: 6 hours per class
Time: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM (with breaks included)
Location: To be announced
Target Audience: Adults aged 18 and above, suitable for beginners with little or no prior knowledge of ruqya.

Class 1: RFTS 101 - Principles of Ruqya Syar’iyyah
Objective: Understand the foundational principles of ruqya syar’iyyah, its basis in Islamic teachings, and how to differentiate between authentic ruqya and cultural practices.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define ruqya syar’iyyah and its significance in Islamic tradition.

  • Recognize common misconceptions and innovations in ruqya practices.

  • Identify the essential conditions and etiquette for performing ruqya.

  • Learn the Quranic and Sunnah-based guidelines for ruqya.

  • Introduction to Ruqya: Historical context and relevance.

  • Conditions for Effective Ruqya: Faith, sincerity, and proper methodology.

  • Prohibited Practices: Avoiding shirk, superstition, and unlawful methods.

  • Quranic and Sunnah Sources: Ayat and duas for ruqya.

  • Case Studies: Examples from the Prophet’s (PBUH) ruqya practices.

Activities: Group discussion on misconceptions, reflective journaling on intentions for learning ruqya.

Class 2: RFTS 102 - Application of Ruqya in Daily Life
Objective: Equip participants with practical tools and strategies to perform self-ruqya and ruqya for loved ones, addressing common ailments and spiritual afflictions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Perform self-ruqya effectively using Quranic verses and prophetic duas.

  • Identify symptoms of spiritual afflictions (e.g., sihr, evil eye, jinn possession).

  • Develop a structured approach to family ruqya sessions.

  • Understand the role of istighfar, tawakkul, and tawheed in ruqya efficacy.

  • Self-Ruqya Techniques: Practical demonstration of recitation and actions.

  • Spiritual Hygiene: Establishing protective daily routines.

  • Symptom Analysis: Understanding spiritual and emotional imbalances.

  • Post-Ruqya Practices: Reinforcing reliance on Allah through worship.
